Silversea’s second Nova Class vessel will be identical to sister ship Silver Nova, launched in 2023. Its pool deck will feature an asymmetrical design, with the pool facing the ocean, and all accommodations will be balcony suites with Silversea’s signature butler service in every category. The popular Salt And Land Taste (S.A.L.T.) culinary program will focus on regional cuisine through a specialty restaurant, cocktail bar, cooking classes, and a Chef’s Table experience. The Otivm Spa will offer decadent treatments and luxurious spa experiences extending into the guest suites through soothing bath amenities, fragrances, and in-suite service of spa cuisine. We’re still eagerly awaiting more details on Silver Ray, which will continue to deliver Silversea’s all-inclusive, ultra-luxury experience to her guests.

Debuted in 2023, Explora Journeys is the luxury yachting division of MSC Cruises, offering an all-inclusive product designed to promote “an ocean state of mind”. The ship’s 461 spacious oceanview suites will all feature balconies (average suite size is 453 square feet), and elaborate penthouses and residences will range up to 3,014 square feet.
Dining is a highlight onboard Explora Journeys, and Explora II will have six restaurants that include French, Mediterranean, fine-cut steaks and Pan-Asian flavors, 12 bars and lounges, and in-suite dining. An elaborate spa with a hydrotherapy pool, steam and sauna rooms, and soothing treatments will complement the elegant onboard experience as guests sail to Europe, North America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East on Explora’s global itineraries.

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection debuted in 2022 with its first superyacht – the 624-foot Evrima, designed for 298 guests. Coming in at 790 feet and accommodating 448 guests, Ilma will be slightly larger than her sister but promises to deliver the same exemplary Ritz-Carlton service in a relaxed private yacht atmosphere. Its all-balcony and all-suite accommodations – including two new suite categories – will be one of the most spacious in the industry (the smallest is 480 square feet, and the largest is more than 1,000 square feet), and all with personal concierge service.
Seven dining venues will range from casual poolside to exclusive dinners served in a private enclave, plus a 24-hour in-suite dining service will feature global cuisine made with the finest ingredients. Ilma will also have an indulgent Ritz-Carlton Spa, a marina with watersports equipment, a fitness studio, and two pools, including one with an infinity-edge.

The tenth ship for Viking Ocean Cruises will be slightly larger than her previous nine sister ships, which only carry 930 guests. However, from what we can see from comparing deck plans (since no specific details have been announced), the only difference will be a slightly larger size of the public areas and more cabins and suites. Viking Vela will continue Viking’s 18+ adults-only policy, focusing on culinary experiences with the Chef’s Table, Manfredi’s Italian restaurant, cooking classes, in-depth destination lectures in The Theater, and spa and wellness in the revitalizing Nordic Spa. All staterooms will feature private balconies, and there will be ten penthouse and suite categories for guests seeking upscale accommodations.

The sister ship to Oceania Vista, Oceania Allura will be the second ship in the cruise line's Allura class and the eighth overall in the fleet. According to Oceania, the 11-deck ship had been named to reflect the excitement of starting an immersive new journey. The 1,200-passenger ship will boast two crew members for every three passengers and will showcase new dining venues and cabin categories introduced on Vista.
Under construction at Italy's Fincantieri shipyard, all of Oceania Allura's 612 staterooms will have balconies. As the foodie’s cruise line, Oceania will continue to offer exemplary dining experiences in the Grand Dining Room and several complimentary specialty restaurants, including Ember and Aquamar Kitchen, which were introduced on Oceania Vista.

Ritz-Carlton’s third superyacht will be identical in size and capacity to her sister Ilma. What we know so far: Luminara will have an even higher percentage of suites in the top categories, including the new 1,039-square-foot Residential Suite. The size of the marina will be expanded from the previous ships, offering guests direct access to the sea. The ship will have an elegant interior décor and a palette of soft hues with pops of rich color, rich marble, and leather accents.

It was announced in September 2022 that luxury hotel chain Four Seasons is also entering the cruise segment (after Ritz-Carlton). The company has signed an agreement with Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard to build two yachts, the first of which is scheduled for delivery in 2025. Designed for those looking for the upper echelon of luxury service and exclusivity, the all-suite, residential-style yacht will have 14 decks, 95 luxury suites (with the top accommodation being a four-level, 9,500 square-foot Funnel Suite), 11 restaurants and bars, a full-service spa, an expansive upper deck with a saltwater pool, and a transverse marina that spans the entire width of the yacht, with outdoor decks and watersports equipment. The ship is currently still in the design stages, with more details to follow.

A superyacht residence program is currently in development by Ocean Residences, with the vessel Njord ordered for delivery in 2025. The yacht will feature two- to six-bedroom residences of 1,500 to 9,000 square feet, available for purchase starting at $8.5 million. Each suite will have unobstructed views with private balconies, a gourmet kitchen, and custom furnishings curated by some of the most prestigious design teams in the world. The vessel’s amenities include a 10,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, an executive helicopter and four superyacht limo transfers, two submarines, watersports equipment, a fleet of 10 zodiacs, dive and fishing boats, swimming pools, and seven bars and dining venues. Built to Polar Class 6 to cruise in icy waters, Njord will roam the world, including the polar region, and also host scientific research teams and oceanographic researchers through its onboard Oceanic and Atmospheric Research facility.

The legendary rail company Orient Express is also getting into the cruise market, announcing a most unusual first vessel – a motor yacht topped with three rigid sails of more than 328 feet tall. The vessel will be built to run on LNG (and eventually green hydrogen when available), with the sails potentially taking on full propulsion under favorable conditions. Orient Express Silenseas will feature 54 suites that are expected to have an average size of 753 square feet, with the Presidential Suite coming in at over 15,000 square feet. There will also be two swimming pools, two restaurants, a spa, an amphitheater cabaret, and a speakeasy bar.
