Viking Ship Museum

Oslo’s Viking Ship Museum offers insight into the Viking Age through fascinating exhibits, an expansive collection of artifacts and three of the best-preserved Viking longships. With funding from Viking, the museum launched The Vikings Alive, a series of documentary films that bring to life the stories of the Vikings’ ships and journeys. The films follow archaeologists and other specialists who are seeking answers through research and reconstruction. The museum is currently closed to the public and will reopen as the Museum of the Viking Age in 2027.
