      Overview of your days on this 4x4 tour

      Here you can get an overview of each day on your tour. With each day follows a facts and info area that give some information of heights, difficulty and further information on each of the single days.

      Day  1:    La Paz - Uyuni

      Pick up at you hotel in La Paz and transfer to La Paz airport. Flight to Uyuni.

      You will be collected at the airport and transferred to hotel. Night at Hotel Tambo Aymara.

      Uyuni downtown.

      Day  2:    Uyuni - Tahua

      The tour starts at 09:30 AM visiting the train cemetery in Uyuni with several abandoned machines that will give us glimpses of the modern history of this part of Bolivia, when mining was booming in this region. Most visitors enjoy time picturing this curious place.

      Later we drive to the small village of Colchani where locals extract and process salt. We will be shown interesting aspects of the geological history of the Uyuni´s Salt Lake, such as natural processes of salt formation that had continued for thousands of years, also we will have a chance to observe the Ojos de Sal (or salt eyes), where ice cold healing water bubbles through the salt. This water originates from an underground river at the Tunupa Volcano. On the way to Isla Incahuasi, we will pass the first small hotel built in this area entirely from salt blocks, known as Playa Blanca. At the Isla, we’ll enjoy lunch, hike among the huge cacti and observe the wildlife of this rare habitat as we have 360 degree views of the endless Uyuni´s Salt Lake.

      In the afternoon we will head north crossing the salt lake towards the Tunupa Volcano, a unique location for an amazing sunset that colors up the landscape of the salt lake. Wewill spend the night at Hotel Tayka de Sal.

      Day  3:    Tahua - Siloli Desert

      Today, the tour will cross another section of the Uyuni´s Salt Lake towards the southern part; on the way we will observe the Ollague Volcano, which is currently mildly active.

      Continuing with our trip we will stops in several lagoons, such as Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota, Honda, and Ramaditas which offer views of three different flamingo species: the James, the Andean and the Chilean, as well as wild troops of Vicuna.

      Lunch will be enjoyed on the way to the Siloli Desert.

      Night at Hotel Tayka del Desierto.

      Day  4:    Siloli Desert - Uyuni - La Paz

      After an early breakfast (06:00 am) we continue crossing the Siloli Desert; there will be stops to appreciate some natural monuments carved by the wind, such as the Árbol de Piedra (Stone Tree). Thereafter we arrive to Laguna Colorada, inside the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna Reserve, where we will visit the shooting geysers and hot mud boiling ponds of Sol de Mañana:

      Then we stop at the natural hot springs, with safe bathing temperatures, where we are welcome to soak for a while. Later we drive to the Salvador Dali Rock Desert and then stop at Laguna Verde at the base of Licancabur Volcano to have lunch. The trip will end by returning back to Uyuni town then transfer at 19:00 PM to airport.

      Upon arrival to La Paz you will be transferred to hotel.
