This two day version of the Inca Trail is for those who have a short time. The tour does not require altitude acclimatization of importance. Along the way you will experience the impressive ruin and terrace complex Wiñay Wayna. The ruin was discovered by an expedition with Scandinavian connections in 1941.

Here you can get an overview of each day on your tour. With each day follows a facts and info area that give some information of heights, difficulty and further information on each of the single days.
Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Inca Trail – KM. 104 to the Sun Gate
On the first day, at 5 a.m. you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco to drive through the mountains and part of the sacred valley until Ollantaytambo, where you will board the train and ride along the Urubamba River until kilometer 104 of the train track. Once we are there we will begin hiking.
At Chachabamba which is our first Inca archeological site there is also a checkpoint where you need to show your passport and your guide all the permits to be in there,after you checkking, you will have the chance to explore and get information about the place and gradually start to ascend Machupicchu Mountain.
In about three and a half hours you will reach Wiñay Wayna an other incan site consider one of the beautiful archeological sites into the Machupicchu National Park even if you hike the 4 days inca trail.
Wiñay Wayna is also a name of an orchid that you see blooming whole year around along of this short inca trail. The meaning of this orchid comes from the Quechua languaje which means “Forever Young”. This archeological site has four sections: an urban area, ritual site, retainable and agricultural terraces, an Religious site .
After exploring this site we will walk for 10 minutes to a place where you can enjoy a delicious box lunch before to continue for two more hours on a undulated section of the trail to the Sun Gate or “Inti Punku” .
Once you get there you can start to see from a distance Machu Picchu! From here forward 40 minute descent to the Inca citadel proper. Along the way you get stunning views of the Machupicchu surrounding.
We will end our firts day reaching Aguas Calientes town by bus. Here we will spend the night in a comfortable an nice hotel.

Day 2: Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco
On this day an early wake up and after breakfast in your hotel, re-live the history and the mysterious world of Machupicchu and the Incas, fuse with the mystic of this fascinating and unique place, discover yourself the perfect symbiosis and harmony created by nature and the Inca people. This enigmatic Inca citadel city is explored for 2 hours and it mysteries and archaeological information will be explained by your guide.
After your guiding tour you can climb Huayna Picchu or Machupicchu Mountain by your self for that classic photo of Machu Picchu. (You need to specify if you would like to climb Huayna Picchu at the time of booking and see if there is available spots because it runs out fast.
After you done with Machu Picchu you have to go to Aguas Calientes where you will board the expedition train to Ollantaytambo. From Ollantaytambo you will ride a private van to Cusco and we will drop you off at your hotel. Arrival time in Cusco depends on the time of your train ticket.
