"Unfortunately, our shipped docked later than expected, the second bus coming to the canal cruise was thirty minutes delayed, so we had an shortened canal cruise and had a grand total of 45 minutes in the Rijksmuseum of which 15 minutes were spent queuing up before and after!I live in Florida so I had to buy a new wardrobe for this cruise...."Read More

1-10 of 225 Viking Ocean Viking Venus Cruise Reviews
Oh, how we wanted to love our first Viking cruise! All the advertising and all our friends and family said Viking’s the best, with all-balcony staterooms, a truly all-inclusive program, no one under 18 and lectures instead of casinos.
And we fully understand that weather happens, and the storm that trapped the Viking Venus in Tromsø, Norway, definitely was beyond Viking’s control. And Viking ...
This was a cruise in search of the northern lights (more later on whether we found them)- a bucket list trip which we had been looking forward to doing as our other experience on Viking Ocean had been positive despite a rather last minute revising of our itinerary. This cruise was scheduled to start in Bergen, Norway and end in Tilbury, England- ah, the best laid plans and all that. Our cruise was ...
Well, we are back from our Viking “Search for the Northern Lights” cruise and as I had promised to provide a description of this trip, I thought I had better do so before my memory fails me. In brief, it was a very memorable journey and one that we do not regret having taken, despite numerous challenges presented by the January weather in that part of the world.
Our vacation got off to an ...
We loved this voyage! The trip is for someone who is adventurous and doesn't mind being cold, wet, and blown around. Be prepared for 3 hours max daylight each day. The ship rocked substantially but I found it was manageable with a seasick pill every now and then and wrist bands. I didn't know of anyone who got sick. If anything the banging and creaking wall noises during the rough seas was the ...
Viking is known for its impeccable quality in cruises ; they did not disappoint ! Service, food, ship, all excellent. The stateroom was nicely appointed and serviced twice a day. Our room steward was extremely attentive. The bed was firm but comfortable. Dining was very good. Several restaurants to choose from. The world cafe buffet was a bit crowded several nights , but we managed and the ...
We had cruised with Viking once before on the Rhine River Cruise and loved it! We chose this cruise because of the ship size, the leisure travel itinerary and the final stop at Stonehenge. We were so happy with everything -- the greeting at the airport when we arrived, the cleanliness of the ship, the food, the service, the entertainment, the availability of relaxation opportunities -- seating ...
This was a wonderful trip although I would hesitate to go back during the Christmas/Ephiphany holiday as we lost two stops along the way due to the holiday. Having said that, Viking made it very nice to celebrate on the ship. We had a nice Christmas, a fun New Year’s Eve and an amazing spread on New Year’s Day.
I would not take any other cruise line again after sailing with Viking. This was ...
We were interested in this cruise because we had never been to Greece or Turkey and were excited to follow the journey of the Apostle Paul. We booked a guaranteed verandah cabin and let Viking choose our particular stateroom and were thrilled to have been upgraded to the 6th deck in a lovely midship deluxe verandah cabin. Our stateroom, the service and food and beverage choices and the entire ship ...
Viking is Fantastic! Need I say more. The friendliness of service both for our cabin and the resturaunts was more than great. Staff remembered our names, which, was very impressive. You asked for something you needed, you got it and right a way. Not hours later. We ate at the speciality resturaunts, the food was as good as eatting at a 5 star resturaunt on shore. The entertainment was impeccable. ...
I've always been interested in taking a Viking River cruise but to be perfectly honest the cost is a bit too high for my pocketbook. When I saw this Ocean Cruise in one of the ads I had been receiving it just seemed too good to pass up. 14 days, including free airfare, excursions at no charge for each port of call, no charge for wine at meals, specialty restaurants with no upcharge was right up ...
