Cost Cutting Measures Readily Visible
"The Main Dining Room (MDR) menu frequently offered "Jumbo" Shrimp Cocktail but what actually arrived at our table was four, small, boiled shrimp on a plate with a small dish of cocktail sauce.Honestly, the food in the main dining rooms on both the Breeze and Stadtendam rivaled the quality of the food available at the specialty restaurants...."Read More

Dirty, Boring, Poor Service, Bad Food

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

jayt72
2-5 Cruises • Age 50s

This was my first and last experience with Carnival. The first thing I noticed boarding the ship was how the staff did not interact well with the cruisers. The staff was kind and polite, but did not initiate any type of quality customer service. The ship is older and shows all the signs of wear and tear that are expected with an older ship. However, dirty is different than wear and tear. The ...

The best cruise I have ever been on.

While the port of New Orleans leaves much to be desired, our sailing on the Glory was one of the best experiences of my life thus far. Throughout our week long journey we met so many incredible people, some who will surely become lifelong friends (we've already booked a cruise next year on Liberty with a few people we met) We stayed on the Lido deck, which is an excellent location in my ...

Very Disappointing for Our 6th Cruise with Carnival

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

6-10 Cruises • Age 60s

We chose a January 2024 cruise to get back in the cruising groove after having 2 cruises cancelled during Covid in 2020/2021. All excited to finally get back on a Carnival Cruise Ship we haven't been on, out of New Orleans. We had a wonderful day and a half in New Orleans, exploring the sights and sounds and food. We parked free at the cruise port with Florida Disabled Vet Plates and used ...

Worst cruise ever

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

We all know a certain level of subpar experience is expected with Carnival like food and stateroom accommodations but this sailing was by far the worst in all of my experiences. I have had a lingering feeling for some time Carnival was cutting back on staff and services, starting with turn down at night and food quality (not that it was ever suburb) but that feeling is now glaringly obvious. Post ...

Rough trip

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

6-10 Cruises • Age 40s

Our personal experience, on board, was bad. First, the ship is definitely showing its age. We witnessed a few floods in the cabins, but the lido deck has a lot of soft spots. The next issue was with the illnesses all over the boat. Even on day 2, members we already getting sick. By day 4, the captain started marking operational changes but more people continued to get sick. another ...

I have sailed on this ship before. What I remember the first time was excellent. You asked a crew member for something and they got it for you. I have been on many cruises with other cruise lines. They all have there good and bad. This trip I asked for items that they had and when i asked for it I was told they didnt service it up here. After nicely talking to a stripped officer they took ...

This was the best experience of my life!!!! I can not wait to go again. I want to bring my kids on a cruise and possibly a anniversary cruise with my boyfriend. The food, the movies, the pools, serenity, the casino....awesome! But the crew was the best. I actually want to become a travel agent now. If I could live on carnival glory I would. Passengers Were Treated Like Cattle

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

Topherman96
First Time Cruiser • Age 20s

My husband and I sailed from New Orleans to Mahogany Bay, Belize, and Cozumel for 7 days from 7/30-8/06. From the time we went through customs to board the ship until the time we exited through customs off the ship, the passengers were treated like nothing more than cattle moving through stockyards. VERY FEW experiences on the ship were personalized and the staff acted MISERABLE the whole time!! ...
