"Overall, we had a fun time and like I said, this was our first “big ship” experience so perhaps we just enjoy the more chill vibe of a smaller ship even though we have kids! Some people said the specialty restaurants were good but after paying over $5k for our family of 4 just to get on the ship (interior rooms!..."Read More

1-10 of 116 Royal Caribbean Odyssey of the Seas Cruise Reviews
First and foremost, we only sail Royal. I want to start this off by praising the staff onboard. This is not possible without this amazing staff. My favorite part of any cruise we do is meeting the staff and feeling a warm greeting. We have been on 9 cruises now all with Royal. The ships are great and the shows are awesome. Thank you to every single staff members. You are what makes Royal the best. ...
We were on the ship as part of the Park West VIP program. Our previous cruise ships were in the 2200-3300 passenger range or smaller, so this was a departure in size, over 50% larger than our previous cruises. For the most part the ship accommodates the number of passengers well but they didn't increase the number or size of the bars and lounges enough to take the increased passenger load into ...
We chose Odyssey of the Seas, because we have kids ages 10, 5 and 2, and there seemed to be a lot to do. The bumper cars were one of the things we were looking forward to, only to find out it’s almost a 2 hour wait! We waited in line for about an hour before we said we are wasting our time. Wish they would designate times for certain ages. The ship has a rule you can’t save poolside lounges, ...
I travelled with my two kids under 3, husband and parents. Firstly , the pack and play they provide for babies is disgusting- it’s hard plywood and I wouldn’t make my worst enemy sleep on that. Because of this- my kids had to sleep with me the entire vacation… the food was terrible , poor selection and taste and quality was poor. Service was just okay, nothing compared to the service I’ve received ...
A little about us: we just retired at the ages of 59 and 63 and this was our 25th cruise (I think). We primarily sail with Royal and Norwegian. We are Emerald status with Royal.
We booked this cruise 48 hours before sailing! We were told we booked the last available cabin on the ship which was an inside cabin. We always book a balcony but decided to go with it since we were getting a ...
This will be the first and last time we cruise with Royal Caribean in any capacity. The food was all around pretty terrible, every soda machine except for 1 was broken during our first 5 days, the remaining that did work had very limited options as all diet options were sold out after day 2. You would think a cruise ship of this size would have a repair man so customers aren't all waiting 30 ...
We wanted to go to the southern Caribbean to insure we found warm weather in early January. Also we had never been on this class of ship in our previous 35 cruises on Royal Caribbean and wanted to give it a try. We were successful in our quest for warm weather and enjoyed making our comparison to the other four classes of RCL ships we had sailed on over the last 22+ years.

I took my family 8 people in total on a Christmas cruise. We had 3 people who had never cruised before. As a family we love to dress up and enjoy the dining room, I just want to say the dining room service and food was absolutely terrible. The food that was supposed to be cold(shrimp, salad etc) was warm and soggy. Food that was supposed to be hot was cold and tasteless. Our head waiter could not ...
We typically take a cruise once a year and almost always on Royal or Celebrity. This trip was over Christmas because our usual destination in Florida was still under repair after hurricane Ian. Royal delivered as usual. We were a large group of 11 and two guests were elderly, one in a wheelchair. The staff at departure was incredibly accommodating. They made sure everyone was aboard quickly and ...
A mixed bag of experiences.
Really spacious cabins. We had an inside cabin, which was the most well designed one I have ever seen. Felt roomy and organized.
We did a lot of the attractions on board. Some great (skydiving), some not (north star) and some unnecessary (bumper cars). Our five year old loved the kids club.
Ricky was the best cruise director I have ever had on a ...
