I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to sail on the Navigator of the Seas with Royal Caribbean, and I must say, it was a highly disappointing experience. From the moment I stepped on board, it became evident that this cruise was far from the luxurious and enjoyable experience I had anticipated.
One of the first aspects that left a sour taste in my mouth was the bar service. The staff ...
I just took a cruise on Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico and it was BY FAR the worst cruise I have ever been on. First and most disappointing, Catalina Island was basically closed. They said once on the island that it wasn’t season so there was basically nothing to do once you got there besides rent golf carts and ride the same route for an hour. There ...
Navigator Notes
Although, our Royal Caribbean Cruise, for our multiple generations over New Years was not all bad, the cons very far exceeded the pros. We cruised multiple times as our children were growing up and loved it as a family. We haven’t cruised in 10 years and have now learned that things have changed a lot. Prior to booking I had read online reviews that ‘everything was an upcharge’. ...
We are a family of 4 with 2 teen girls. We've done Disney, Princess, Royal and in 2022 Carnival. We went with Royal for the variety of entertainment and activities.
First I'd like to say that if you are one of those people looking for something to complain about you will always find it. The ship does has some wear and tear but it is a beautiful ship that was wonderfully decorated for ...
My wife, son and I were spending Christmas with my daughter, son in law and granddaughter who live in California. We decided to do a short 4 day cruise from long beach to Mexico and back as a taster for my son in law who has never cruised before.
Embarkation was average, taking 30-45 minutes. Part of the process was the mandatory safety briefing which consisted of us visiting the 3 lifeboat ...
Based on this fun cruise experience that was our "short test drive" of RCCL, we will keep with our plan to sail with RCCL again summer of 2024 for a long cruise with no hesitation.
I was getting worried reading reviews going into this cruise (our first with RCCL, but we have done 10+ with other cruise lines), but I've come to the conclusion that some reviewers either fail to do research and ...
We selected this cruise to take my MIL for an outing and as she has mobility issues, we needed a nearby port (LA is ~5 hours) that we could drive to. We compared pricing, cabin locations, and timing across Princess, Carnival and RC and the Navigator won out. Also, it has been about ten years since we have cruised on RC and we have a 15-day transatlantic coming up in April so this was a good ...
We chose this cruise to get an extra 4 C&A points to boost us up to Diamond/Celebrity Elite for booking upcoming cruises. Also, we had not been to Catalina or Ensenada before, so this was a reasonable choice of itinerary. Our dates were constrained as well, so we settled on early November for this cruise.
We booked our own flights, and arrived with minimal time due to a 2 hour delay arriving at ...
We chose this cruise because we did the same itinerary on the same ship in October 2022. It is hard to describe how much it has gone downhill in a year's time but here goes. Embarkation was fine and moved at a swift pace as well as disembarkation. The room attendant was awful. Our room was not ready until 2 which is OK as long as everything is ready to go once we got in the room! Once we got ...
The ship is very old and the furniture is ripped and needs cleaning. We were surprised how dirty the ship is. Carpet desperately needs cleaning. Service and all amenities are cut back. The cabin service has been cutting back. The Windjammer food is HORRIBLE. Cold burgers are served. Most dishes are very tasteless. I really not looking forward to the food on this ship. The specialty restaurants ...
