My first cruise ever and I never want to cruise again… at least on carnival. 600 staff members short, and about 2k too many people for the ships size. My family and I ate in the main dining room on Monday night, and I had the worst steak I’ve ever had in my life. It was halfway to being leather. I would never recommend this cruise line.. or at least this ship. Do some research before you book, or ...
After a disastrous cruise on Liberty in July 2023, I swore off Carnival. However, I found a VERY cheap 3 day (changed to 2 at last minute) trip on Vista for my birthday celebration right out of my home port (Orlando) and decided to give them another try. On a positive note: the ship was fresh out of dry dock so the smells and broken disrepair of the Liberty were not present. However, I do believe ...
I've been waiting about three years now to be able to experience Carnival Vista. I decided to take my family on a Christmas Cruise because I felt that would be the best time for us to make memories, as well as take advantage of the general holiday cheer that's typically within the air. Carnival Vista as a Ship and a Crew was amazing, however my experience in relation to its guest in wheelchairs ...
We have been on the smaller ships like Paradise and Pride that go out of Tampa and we decided let's take the ride across the state to Canaveral and go on a larger ship. We choose cruises not for the ship but for the destinations and having never been to the Dominican and Turks and Caicos, we thought it would be a good itinerary which also included Nassau.Embarkation was a lot easier than I could ...
My wife and i and sister-in-law chose the vista because it offered a back-to-back cruise option out of port everglades. We had just finished a fantastic cruise on royal caribbean's wonder of the seas which ended the same day the vista sailed. • the vista was overcrowded, had overall poor food quality in the buffet and food quality in the main dining room was just okay • we had booked evening ...
A decade ago we always had great experiences with Carnival…
With toddlers aged two and three years old, we haven’t traveled out of the country since COVID and couldn’t wait to take our dream cruise to Turks and Caicos, the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas. We splurged on a Family Harbor suite, knowing we would be in the room for naps and in the room again for bedtime at 7:30pm and wanted to ...
We choose the vista we heard it was good. The 1st day we got there they could not tell us which terminal it was 3 or 6. We would have loved to know the address or which terminal . Then we got on there then they were trying to change us 80.00 for each person that was in my party. Then everyday that we were on the ship was rocking back and forth really bad. I don’t normally get sea sick but I was ...
Had a 10 hour drive to Galveston.
Stayed at Laquinta on I-45. OK hotel, was very expensive due to motorcycle rally. Annual Motor cycle rally was occurring. Wish I had known about that ahead of time. For anyone interested the rally is the first weekend in November, if you are NOT into cycles you should AVOID going to Galveston during that time.
Embarkation was quick and smooth, even ...
This was a nice enough cruise. The ship is definitely in need of refurbishing. Really showing its age.
The dining was very nice. We enjoyed every meal! The deserts were especially excellent.
We didn't take in much of the entertainment, but we heard it was great.
The staff was remarkable, each and every one was lovely and helpful.
Staterooms are fine, bathrooms not bad, shower water ...
To start, I have taken several cruises (7) and Carnival has done nothing but take things away... food was just about inedible in the main dining room and buffet, chocolate strawberries were pink, no different choices of bread anymore, butter is now very generic. They stopped room service a couple of years ago and now you have to pay. Long ago, you paid for casino and alcohol which is ...
