Our cruise only had about 300 passengers. The entire crew was fantastic! The expedition crew ensured we had as many outings as possible, and our several days we had landings and zodiac cruises. We sailed on the Nordlys from Bergen to Kirkenes northbound for 6 nights. We had booked an outside cabin midships Deck 6 with a slightly obstructed view by life rafts so that we didn't have anyone walking past as you would on Deck 5. We just sailed our 3rd cruise. This was more up our street so to speak as it was in the High Arctic. MS Nordstjernen was a lovely old ship. We have travelled with Hurtigruten before (MS Spitsbergen Norwegian coast) but this was sooo much better. We boarded in Reykjavik and it was a little chaotic - a free for all. We were in an Expedition Suite (ME class) which was lovely. Bed was very comfortable, as were the chairs.
