While our cruise began with a longer stay in Ushuaia than anticipated, the crew and captain more than made up for the delay. There was a problem with the propulsion system so we had to wait for repairs and a Coast Guard inspection. But we were safe and dry and well fed and in a gorgeous place that most do not get the opportunity to explore. Once we left port the Captain did everything he could to ...
I had always wanted to go the 7th continent and of course, see Antarctica, the glaciers, icebergs, natural wildlife and cross the Drake passage! It was a life changing adventure and hard to describe. We had a Drake "lake" passing which was a bonus! The expeditions and crew were fantastic. We saw 4 different types of whales, 3 different types of seals, 3 different types of penguins and several ...
We recently sailed on the 2/4/24-2/15/24 Atlas World Navigator, 11 nt Antarctica expedition crossing the Antarctic Circle. We were in an A1-Horizon Stateroom with the push button drop down upper window. It was perfect for Antarctica since it let you take clear pictures without standing in the cold. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a decent size with a couch and two chairs.
The ...
This was our seventh continent to visit. Always had been put off by the cost, but bit the bullet when Atlas offered 2 for 1. We had been close to a decision to use Viking. The ship, crew, and voyage exceeded our expectations. Lucky for us, on a scale of 1 to 10 (worst) the Drake going was a 1 and 2.5 returning. The expeditions were overwhelming visually and animals blew us away. While most ...
This was an incredible journey. Voyager is a beautiful ship. Modern design. No signs of wear and tear, Our room was very nice with a wonderful bathroom and shower area. Lots of marble. The lounge and dome are fun parts of the ship to hang out in. The dining room offers great breakfast, lunch, and dining menus. The options change daily. I can't say enough about the staff. The officers ...
Going to Antarctica is a once in a lifetime adventure. Atlas Ocean Voyages did a great job making this a trip to remember. The ship staff was friendly and helpful. The cruise director, Marla, was unbelievable. By the second day she knew very one's name. She was especially engaged with the solo passengers making sure they were staying involved. She even hosted a table with solo passengers for ...
We took the 9 day cruise trip to Antarctica through world navigator.
Stateroom was nice and new. Food was decent although the portion is small. Entertainment are quite limited but they do have board games and pokers which customers can use. The cruise members are nice. There are also lectures which you can participated a couple of times a day.
But world navigator really disappoints us as we ...
About the Reviewer: I’m a 40-something who traveled solo on the Christmas Antarctica Circle cruise from Ushuaia. I’m a seasoned cruiser with over 60 sailings completed but all with major mass market lines such as Norwegian Cruise Line, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, MSC and Carnival. This was my first voyage on a ship smaller than 50,000 tons. The vessel is considered a yacht than a cruise ship and ...
What a truly awesome adventure! I wanted to do a review as I found limited information prior to our cruise. This is quite long.
We arrived in BA two days prior to the cruise so we could see a bit of BA. I won’t go into the details but this is what we did.
Fogon Asado - outstanding experience. A must do if you like food experiences. Tons of food!
Full day tour with Iconic Buenos ...
I’ve been on a lot of cruises, mostly Caribbean huge ship types. This was the best cruise I’ve ever been on. We had approx 135 passengers and about the same crew. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Most of the passengers were world travelers so it was a cool crowd and you really got to know almost everyone, which is the part I may have loved the best. Food was good to great but dinner ...
