We have sailed Carnival 5+ times. I know there are some "Never Carnival" people and if you're one ... clearly this ship isn't for you.

However, this review is in the context of comparing the Vista to the other 4 Carnival ships we've sailed (Pride, Glory, Horizon, and Panorama) and also compared to most comparable brands we've sailed RCCL and NCL. We have enjoyed all our cruises with Carnival (including this one) and feel that many/most people can enjoy Carnival with the correct expectations (ie at a significant discount you are just NOT going to get the level of service provided on Disney or a luxury line ...) will enjoy a "Fun Ship", but maybe not this one.

This ship has most of the same amenities as Horizon and Panorama and this class of ships are much nicer from an amenities standpoint than the older and smaller Pride and Glory. However, of the three ships in the Vista class, Vista is by far our LEAST favorite and we would not opt to sail on the Vista again.

Cabin Review

Family Harbor Interior

The cabin(s) (we had 2 adjoining interiors) met expectations, but we would not opt to pay extra for Family Harbor rooms in the future. The lounge was not available during hours that would be convenient for families with young children and no food was available except during posted times (which were the same as the other venues on the ship). The deck 2 location wasn't convenient to anything else so in the future we would spend the upgrade $ on a better cabin location.
