We chose this cruise because of the destinations, and had heard good things about Norwegian. I’m a very positive person and always focus on the positives and try to diminish anything negative, however - there was NOTHING good about this cruise ship and their staff. Nothing. First, they allow smoking in so many places on the ship, including the casino on the 7th floor - which pretty much made this a smoking ship. I am allergic to cigarette smoke, so by Tuesday, I felt I had a full blown sinus infection. I went to the medical office and was diagnosed with Influenza A virus, and therefore -missed the rest of the cruise since I was quarantined to my room. My husband and our friends were not quarantined, but also had a terrible time. I was also charged $959 for the medical check up that sent me to my room. They mislead you by saying you have multiple dining options, like Savor and Taste and the Irish pub - they are all the SAME menu items. The dining rooms were ice cold, and the quality of the food was something like Denny’s or IHOP. Because I was quarantined, they did complimentary room service, but everything I ordered came to my room cold or room temp. Stale tasting as well. The pools were crowded, and you could not find a seat. They did NOT adhere to their “15 minutes and we’ll clean up and clear chairs” promise. You also had to use your room key to check in and out towels, which was very inconvenient. And no one enforced the smoking areas, so all pools had people smoking. They also did not enforce the adult only pool or areas - so it’s as a free for all with kids (and I have five kids, but it would have been nice not to have kids running around non stop). The quality of the alcohol was the cheapest of everything, and we got the drink packages. I was sick and didn’t partake, my husband and friends did and had to search for bars that had Tito’s or any sort of name brand liquor. Only some of the bars were open at certain times, which was difficult to get drinks of any kind. You also have to pay for water, and it comes in cartons. Very odd choice of water to sell and not provide it with the drink package. We had also read that there plumbing issues on this ship, and people are correct, toilets not working throughout the week, and no hot water throughout the week. Housekeeping didn’t do their job either, we had to ask repeatedly to have the room services and garbage taken out. Their buffet that was open all day etc - had the same exact food every day - and all stations had the same things, so you thought if you walked around the buffet you’d find more options - not true - more stations with cheap pizza, hamburger's and hot dogs, tasteless foods. Our sheets had stains on them, we had to ask twice to have them changed out once we realized we needed to check our sheets before getting in bed. Entertainment was standing room only - unless you got in line an hour or more earlier. You also had to make reservations for some. Everything was at a cost, game shows, any other type of experience. This cruise was so disappointing. I will give it a poor rating on entertainment, but not because of the entertainment, because we could not get seats without being there very early. Also each room had only two outlets and if you used them both at once you lost power for a few hours. Totally ridiculous.

Cabin Review

Cabin was not the best. Only two outlets and you blew the fuse any time you plugged in more than two items. Sheets had stains, and toilets did not work often. Also no hot water several times. Very frustrating.
