As a veteran Cruiser (Over 30 cruises) I have become pretty comfortable with cruising. There aren't a lot of surprises.
This is one though.
The first thing I noticed that this was going badly was when we could not make any reservations for dinners. Unlike every other ship there is no specific dining room that you go to for dinner. Instead there are about 6 individual restaurants that you have to make reservations at for every night. And here is the fun part...... They're almost entirely sold out before we got on board.
Very very small. I know its a cruise ship but this is a very very small room
There is a small village atmosphere place that has some stores but they're mostly closed. The beach was nice. The people literally chase the little tram you're on begging you to buy the little golf carts that have for rent. Way too aggressive for my tastes
We went on a snorkeling excursion. It departed late and was a long drive to the boat but they described the area a little on the way so that was nice. But it was a little windy and rough water so we didn't got to the second snorkeling location,. That was bad. I paid for a two location dive and got a one location dive . But on the way back the guide barked at us the whole time from the boat to the bus for moving too slowly. (If they were late back getting us back to the bus that's their problem. All we did was walk from the boat to the bus.). I don't like being barked at.
