My partner and I chose this cruise because we wanted a quick cheap getaway to test the waters before we went on a longer cruise later in the year. We also saw so many bad reviews online, and wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
We were VERY pleasantly surprised and impressed with out time there. I think this cruise is well suited for someone with a relatively open mind who is just looking to enjoy themself. If you are looking for the most exciting, biggest, newest luxury ship and experience, this definitely isn't it. However, that's not what Margaritaville at sea advertise themselves as. This cruise is for someone looking to have a good chill time and enjoy being on the water.
The food in the main dining room I would say is significantly better than the buffet, and we were very impressed. Everything always came out perfect, fast tasty and hot. The service across the ship was great, every single crew member was lovely to deal with. The entertainment was very good, the singers and dancers were all very talented and there were always performances around the ship.
Could have been vacuumed better, but otherwise relatively clean. I have definitely stayed in hotels on land that I paid more money for that weren't as clean. Only one outlet (but there's nothing really to do about that.)
Freeport was very nice. Certainly not the flashiest place, but the beaches were lovely and the people were so so nice. We stayed the day at the Grand Lucayan Resort, and enjoyed it. The food and drinks were fine, but the pool and beach were amazing. The Lucayan market was nice, but it was a lot of the same. Would visit again.
