My cousin went through a travel agent to book this cruise for our family group of 15. My cousins have been on several cruises, but it was a first-time cruise for about half our group, so I had no idea what to expect. I was very excited after watching lots of video walk-throughs of the ship itself, and a lot of people I know personally told me that Norwegian is a great cruise line. We sailed on the Norwegian Escape from Miami on 6/18/23 and returned on 6/25/23.

Let's start with the positives!! After a very chaotic travel day due to travel delays, we made it onto the ship about 20 minutes before we were due to leave the port. The embarkation process went smoothly for us since by the time we made it to the ship, we were the only ones going through the process.

After boarding the ship, we were ushered in about 5 different ways, since all of us had different boarding numbers. My daughter and I entered and immediately found ourselves in O'Sheehan's, one of the casual dining options on the ship. The ship itself was very nice. Everything was very clean and looked very luxurious. Our room was spotless and I felt like it was designed well to allow for a lot of storage in our small space. Our beds were comfortable, and even though there was a weird smell in the carpet, I was pleased overall.

Inside Stateroom

Our room was a little hard to find, due to the way the staterooms are numbered on the ship, but once we entered out room, we found it spotless and I felt like it was designed well to allow for a lot of storage in our small space. There was plenty of room for our personal items, and I really liked all the shelves in the bathroom for things like our toiletries, makeup cases, etc. Our beds were very comfortable, and even though there was a weird smell in the carpet, I was pleased overall.

Great Stirrup Cay

I absolutely LOVED Great Stirrup Cay! The water was clear and cool, and calm, and I loved the fact that there were plenty of beach chairs there. I only wish we had had more time to enjoy the island!
