In preparation for any trip, I read as many reviews as I can. I am submitting this short review of our recent Harmony of the Seas cruise in the hopes that someone might find it helpful.

My husband and I wanted to take our adult children on a special trip to celebrate my retirement from 30 years of teaching. We decided upon Harmony of the Seas because we wanted to have a multitude of activities and entertainment for the kids to enjoy. When cruising without children, my husband and I prefer Celebrity because we don't need waterslides, ice rinks, ziplines or other activities of this sort.

After reading many negative reviews about Harmony of the Seas, I was worried that we had made a poor choice. I shouldn't have worried at all. Despite sailing at full capacity, we rarely felt crowded. I think we deliberately chose to spend our time wherever the multitude of people wouldn't be. The adults-only solarium was our haven. It doesn't have a pool and I know that some people find that a negative aspect, but we didn't. The type of people wanting to party at the main pools could brave the crowds. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful vibe of the solarium. Servers circulated frequently and we were well taken care of. There are showers and hot tubs and ample number of loungers. The bistro is steps away and we enjoyed eating there frequently. Our one wish is that the popular trivia games were held in larger venues. The Harry Potter trivia was held in the Schooner Bar and there were no seats left despite us showing up very early.

Interior

We have stayed in interior staterooms before and were prepared for the tight space. This stateroom, however, felt really, really small. The bathroom is super tiny with very little counter space. The night tables beside the bed barely hold anything because they have very little surface area. There was enough closet and drawer space for us.

Port Reviews

Perfect Day at CocoCay

We are willing and able to walk long distances so we headed to South Beach as soon as we could get off the ship. There were ample lounge chairs and few people for most of the morning. It got more crowded around lunchtime, but nothing that spoiled our enjoyment of the day. The beach is well maintained and the beach furniture is in good condition. We loved our day at CocoCay!
