This was my first ever virgin voyage cruise, and it was the best cruise experience I have ever had. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. The ship is easy to navigate and extremely clean. The numerous events and shows are fun, and there is a great variety. We did a waterfall excursion in Puerto Plata, DR and it was worth every penny. The food was amazing, and there were a variety of restaurants as well as “the galley” that didn’t require reservations. The app was easy to use and the bracelet pass was super convenient for adding drinks to your tab, checking in to events and on/off the boat, as well as entering your cabin. The fact that there are no children made it very relaxing and stress-free vacation! I have zero complaints what so ever, and I can’t wait to plan my next trip with Virgin Voyages.
Our cabin was clean and a good size. We had a balcony which was big also a nice size. It had a hammock, two chairs and a small table/stool. House keeps was prompt and thorough when cleaning, and always had clean towels and soap. They also fill up your water pitcher each time! Additionally, the cabin is supplied with a tablet that controls the curtains, lights, TV, and “the vibes”. This was really cool and probably our favorite feature of the cabin. No complaints about the cabin.
Awesome beach club. Plenty of chairs on the beach. The water was crystal clear. No trash anywhere. Lunch was amazing and there were plenty of staff. 2 huge pools and several bars. 5 stars! Only comment I will make is that there should be more than one shuttle transporting to and from the ship. This beach club was owned by Virgin, therefor you could use your wrist band to purchase drinks and food was included.
Another awesome beach club. Plenty of chairs on the beach. Very clean. This club was not owned by Virgin, so you could not use your wrist band to purchase drinks or food. The pool was clean and Spacious and there was several bars. There was also a lazy river you could relax on. It was only a short ride to the beach club from the ship. At this port we also did a waterfall excursion. This was well worth the cost. Food was provided after excursion and pictures taken by guides were free.
On boarding and departure were made effortless by the Virgin Voyages staff at PortMiami. They were very professional and quick. Customs was quick as well. It only took us about 30 minutes to get on the boat and probably about 10 minutes to depart when we returned back to port 6 days later. It was overall, a very good experience. Luggage was in room shortly after we got to our cabin. Only comment was that our luggage carrier asked for compensation.
