Before I get too far, I want to say that we loved the Carnival Vista. Me and my husband decided to have our wedding on the Vista in Galveston and then take a 7 day cruise to Montego Bay, Cayman Islands, and Cozumel. Our wedding day didn’t turn out as expected due to a medical emergency on the cruise prior to us, so our wedding got pushed back from 12:15 to 3:30 P.M. We had gotten the call the day before, but this made everything SO much more difficult. Our wedding ended up being at 4 P.M due to us trying to get onboard at the same time as everyone else instead of before like the original plan, it was so stressful and I ended up in tears but once the wedding got started it was truly an amazing experience. My wedding coordinator Amy handled it all like a pro and I couldn’t be more thankful for her.
When you get married on the ship, they treat you like Royalty and we couldn’t have been any happier with all of the staff. The people that stood out to us the most was our room steward Henryono, our wedding photographer Mark, and our wedding host Irish!!
One thing I do recommend if you plan to get married on a cruise, is to make sure it’s not your very first cruise so that you are familiar with how everything works. I was so lost and confused about things that we missed some of our perks the first couple of days, but once we started them it was like a dream.
We stayed in balcony room on Deck 2 and we absolutely LOVED it!!
We absolutely LOVED Cozumel, this was our favorite place to visit. I recommend doing the Jet Skis and Beach Club Snorkel with Poncho!!
