Sail Date: Jul 2023

We have been fans of Celebrity for many years and are Elite loyalty members. In September of 2022 we raved about our experience on The Beyond on two back-to-back Mediterranean itineraries. Remarkable!

Sailing The Apex this past July was not deserving of such accolades! We again sailed in a premium Retreat class suite, but the staff, food and beverage were not up to par. Were we treated similarly to as on The Beyond… No! Luminae (suite restaurant was average, choice of premium alcohol and wine offerings were sub-par, preparation of room was ad-hoc, overall staff service was challenged). Was it worth USD$45K? Not even close. There were some highlights: The Grand Café for lunch, Eden for dinner, Shows at the Theatre! But overall the value equation has changed. Does Celebrity no longer meet the mark? Have they reduced their service and offerings? We will sail again… never in The Apex… maybe the Ascent… but not for some time. Consistency is key in meeting the bar in hospitality. Celebrity needs to heed warning.

Cabin Review

Beautiful and unique design. Not conducive to cooler weather. Noisy cabin from elevator type door reverberating through suite to hot tub noise even when empty and off.
