First time aboard an NCL cruise and it did not disappoint. Traveled as a couple this time and enjoyed their 'freestyle' approach which is laidback and gives people plenty of reason to enjoy their cruise their way.

Depending on what you want to do, you could love NCL or perhaps be a little disappointed. Our thoughts:

Cons:

Cabin Review

Cabin was solid. Enjoyed the space. A few more movies to pick from would have been nice, especially in a day of streaming movies.

Port Reviews

Puerto Plata

Cool place. Enjoyed the dune buggy experience with the beach. Fun place to visit for a few hours. People are friendly overall.

St. Thomas

St. Thomas is always a joy to visit. How much joy depends on where you go. We visited the little aquarium like place and beach and it was most pleasant.

Tortola

Visited the Baths. Simply outstanding in every way. Just go. Just go. Just go. But just make sure you can navigate a trail with a little adventure thrown in (tight spots). A true gem of a place.

Miami

Go to Miami Beach, eat and take in the scenery, in particular by the strip where the ship goes in and out of port. Fun vibe and so many great places to eat.
