I read a lot of horror about msc and the magnifica and is it luxury, not at all; does it have flaws, of course, was it enjoyable, very. Have an open mind because not everything can and should be perfect

1. Embarkation- very easy, we embarked an hour before scheduled time and it was totally fine. Once on board you go straight to your room (if it is ready) and you get your key card and we were able to drop stuff off because ours was ready (2:30pm). Once we got our card we went to deck 13 to get a drink and it was busy and a long wait. Try to find a different bar to get a drink. I finally went to floor 6 to get one.

2. Food- a lot of negative reviews on this but i did not think it was bad. Yes, the pizza is real good. I didn’t hate really anything i got. I did think there was a decent variety of food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the buffet. It might need some salt and pepper and maybe other spices but i’d rather control that myself than be too salty. What i loved is there was a button on your table in the buffets for bar service and a server came quick. There are a total of 4 buffet lines you need to walk farther past “sahara buffet” to get to the other one on the back of the ship and much less crowded. The lines for the buffet were long at time and i am impatient sadly so i did get annoyed with that. The fruit i had was great. As far as the dining room they have 4-5 specialty entrees each night and 4 of the same. Be prepared to spend 90 minutes in the dining room from sitting to finish. 4 of my friends didn’t like wasting their time on that so they ate the buffet at night and enjoyed it but i wanted more of a fancier meal so me and three friends did the dining room on 6th floor. We enjoyed it but the food is nothing to write home about but it was good and no one really had complaints. And if you don’t like something, you can go get something else at another place.
