Even though it’s been a mild winter we were ready for some real sun;our preferred departure point in the Caribbean is Puerto Rico; the available Yacht Cabin on the Emerald Sakara sealed the deal.

Our itinerary was unremarkable for a yacht: Vieques and Culebra in Puerto Rico followed by St. Barts, St. Maarten, Jos Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda and then back to San Juan for a short free time followed by an included trip to the airport for the flight home.

Sakkara is a new ship with 50 cabins, but the 2 Yacht suites in the rear of the ship are remarkable: about 400 square feet of wrap around balcony with a table and 4 chairs, two oversized chairs with foot rests, two loungers with a side table with plenty of room to maneuver as required to get sunlight.

Cabin Review

Awesome (see review above).

Port Reviews

St. Barts

Pleasant port to walk around, bike or drive; beautiful but pricey.

Jost Van Dyke

Beautiful water for swimming or relaxing; very nice Barbecue with Champagne in the waves.
