We really enjoyed our recent cruise! We decided early on to get a Balcony cabin on deck 12 and splurge a little on the dining and shore excursions. We were able to get a discounted Unlimited Dining Package when it was on sale over a holiday weekend, along with zoom internet, and discounted shore excursions. We really took advantage of the unlimited dining and only ate in the main dining room once. The service was excellent all around. We were pleasantly surprised by The Mason Jar dining experience. The ribs were amazing and they even have fresh brewed sweet iced tea. We went back and ate there another day for brunch. Chops and Giovanni's was also open for lunch on days at sea.

We enjoyed all of the entertainment, and were only a little disappointed that there wasn't a Broadway musical like on the other Oasis ships. Usually there are two ice shows and two water shows with one of each being a more lighthearted comedy style. Wonder didn't have two, but we don't feel like we missed anything and had plenty of entertainment.

Things they've changed: We didn't receive a Daily Compass, but the mobile app is really good. They're only doing stateroom cleaning once a day, and no ice bucket. My brother was in a Grand Suite and did have ice and the Daily Compass. We weren't offered bathrobes even though we were supposed to have them for being Diamond Plus level. We should have communicated with our stateroom attendant more, there was some mildew in the shower that didn't ever get cleaned. There were a couple of other cleaning issues too, I would have addressed them with a manager, but we didn't see one, although they used to come by and introduce themselves in the first couple of days of a cruise.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

We were on deck 12 in a balcony cabin and due to the high winds and weather there was some shuddering felt in the cabin towards the end of our trip. Our stateroom attendant was ok, but could have been better. They're only doing cabin cleanings once a day now, and no ice or Daily Compass. The cabin was typical for the size with two individual closets, a safe, vanity area, and flat screen tv.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

We traveled on Wonder of the Seas to St Maarten. We enjoyed a shore excursion that included Little Switzerland cheese shop, a French bakery, a rum maker, and a bbq restaurant for lunch. I would recommend this shore excursion.
