This was our 5th cruise, all previously on the Windsurf. We wanted to try one of the Windstar motor yachts and were pleased by the itinerary and departure from a U.S. port. Embarkation was seamless. And, although we could have encountered seas which were rough due to a storm in the area, it was exceptionally calm for the entire sailing.

The Star Pride is a gorgeous small ship - and only 180 passengers on our cruise - with many beautiful public areas for events, socializing , and relaxing. Our suite cabin was expansive and very comfortable. Everything worked perfectly and the roomy shower and double sinks were welcome. A walk-in closet was great. Divided by a curtain in two sections, you can watch the large TV from either with a swivel of the wall mount. There were multiple movies and shows available in the cabin, including new releases.

Dining continues to be excellent. Thankfully, they are able to perfectly accommodate dietary needs including our gluten-intolerance. Also, they cruise with de-alcoholized wine for those who want it - a welcome surprise! The menu contains vegetarian and vegan options, but has thankfully toned down its pushing of "plant based" choices. They are still there, just not as in-your-face. We ate in all the dining locations at least once, but found we gravitated to Amphora more. Read more
