My husband and I took this cruise with another couple. We have Diamond status on RCL but this itinerary was exactly what we were looking for and the flight deals were great, so we decided to try NCL. The ship was great, the food was good, and the embarkation and debarkation process was smooth and seamless. We will definitely cruise with NCL again.
We added 3 days to the beginning and the end of our trip, and NCL chose our hotels. They were beautiful resorts and we were very happy with it. Highlights of each stop:
1. Kuala Lumpur…we stayed at the Pullman City Centre. Perfect location near all the major sites. We also hired a driver to take us to Melaka for a day.

We used a driver I found from other reviewers. His name was Sarawut Sarawut and I connected with him on Facebook messenger. He was right on time meeting us at the port. Took us to ride elephants, pet a tiger!, spa massage, Big Buddha, and even helped us hire a private boat to take us to James Bond island!

Awful. Should not be a cruise stop. Industrial port with no taxis available.

Wow! I wish we had more time here! Suggestion…make sure to check out the schedule for the light show at Gardens By the Bay.
