After 37 years cruising, we decided that a trip and cruise to Tahiti and French Polynesian Islands would be a fitting finale. Oceania Nautica's itinerary and cruise dates were the answer. I read the reviews on here, plus social media and I had a

good idea what to expect. Here are my thoughts on this cruise, the ship, food, entertainment.

Embarkation: Arrived in the rain at 1130am. The ship was allowing groups to enter the ship from a holding tent. The walk up the inclined ramp was difficult and the passengers waiting in the rain wasn't very pleasant. Once inside the ship, we went for lunch which was excellent. It had a great selection of food, especially the roast beef carving station. Without a doubt, the best embarkation day lunch I ever had.

Bora Bora

Main reason why we took the cruise. The two-day stay is fine although the island tours presented were at times

repetitive. I recommend you have a strong and healthy back if you consider the 4 wheel Jeep tours.

Raiatea

The prettiest island without a doubt. I would return to this island for a land vacation.

Tahiti (Papeete)

Touristy island. As a transfer point for a cruise, or as a pre-cruise stay, it is ok. I would not return to vacation

on Papeete. The central Market is the draw, along with the many bars.
