I chose this Cruise based on the itineraries. Started in Budapest, Vienna, Krems, Passau and Regensburg. The tours were very cultural and educational. The Guides were outstanding and proud of their history and their towns. The EBike tours in Vienna and Bavaria were extremely nice. Being able to see the Lippizaner Stallions up close. The Viking Var staff were outstanding, they were very welcoming and took the time to know your name from the first day you boarded. From the Program Director to the Bartenders and Wait Staff. This added a personal touch. My housekeeper for my Stateroom was exceptional. People will look a bit surprise when they see the cost. But a thing to remember with Viking there are no hidden fees or costs like other cruise lines. It is pretty inclusive with some guided tours included. Beer and Wine are included at no extra cost for lunch and dinner. If you so choose you can purchase the Silver Spirits package which includes high end drinks, premium beers and wines, soft drinks and juices anytime of the day. If you like like cruising with no children, no casinos, no formal dining with Captain, no pushy sales of pictures and no crazy entertainment than Viking is for you. I am already planning my next cruise with Viking.
