After an awesome cruise on the Rhine with friends a couple years ago, we joined the same group for a next cruise plan. Unfortunately, that cruise was postponed due to the pandemic - twice. Finally, we were back together for a second cruise on the Danube. Our expectations were high, and we were rewarded with another grand adventure Viking River Cruise. This time we scheduled a pre-cruise in Munich, another two days in Salzburg, and then our river cruise. As we had expected, Viking was on point from the meeting at the airport, all transfers, the excursions, and the cruise itself. While this was our second cruise, we are not experts, and we very much appreciate that Viking provides such thoughtful planning on our behalf. With all that great guidance, we were also treated to spectacular weather. I can't imagine what a rainy week would have provided - and fortunately we didn't find out. From the very first excursion tour, our guides and drivers were expert, personable, and very capable. Finally on board, we were treated to top notch service from check-in to check-out. Our most predominant interface was with our dinner service team. We tended to seat ourselves at the same table for all our shared meals, and found the team providing our meals, drinks, and general service were awesome. I'm sure that is Viking's goal, and the team at "our table" delivered with very high marks. Thank You Viking and every one of your attending representatives.
