We chose this cruise having cruised with Oceania on the Riviera 8 years ago. I have read some of the reviews on the NAUTICA before we traveled and having now completed the cruise I believe that some of the expectations are unfair. The ambience of Oceania is very comfortable and uncrowded and fits within the 5 star+ bracket that is on its own. The lodgings very comfortable being suite forward Concierge level. Previous comments complaining how small the suite and bathroom were on the NAUTICA, we are tall people, me 6.4”, my wife 5.10” and we made do without complaint. The food, what ever you think about the claim, “finest cuisine at sea”, we were happy with. Just a note about the specialty restaurants, Polo grill and Toscana, being entitled to 4 visits at our level, we could only get a table for 2 once at Polo grill. Be advised that if you do not want to share a table you will not get a reservation. Only time available will be 9.00pm which is too late for us. Having said that, we were more than happy with the Grand Dining Room. The gym and spa area (where I often showered due to small bathroom) was awesome. All in all, a lovely relaxing experience. Staff as always amazing. To conclude, if you want to judge Oceania by by comparison to Seaborne, Silversea and the like you might be disappointed but we were more than happy with our experience
Small but very comfortable
Islands, beach and sun
