I had never been to Europe. My husband had been stationed in Germany in the late 1960's and thought he would enjoy going back to the area. I had heard from a friend that Viking Cruise Lines was one of the best and I have to agree. I really enjoyed the 2 days before in Budapest. The employees at the hotel were great, the guides for the tours were great. I can't rave about them enough. We enjoyed the tours in all the cities we visited. Everyone that asks how we enjoyed the cruise I do nothing but rave about Viking. Transportation was included and was easy to get. We had missed our connecting flight in Zurich yet the Viking cruise line people were there to greet us and get us on a bus to our hotel. The food on the cruise was wonderful. Loved that they had local wines paired with the items on the menu. This was the best cruise I have ever been on.
The only problem I had was with the shower. No matter how I closed the shower doors, water still was on the floor.
We visited Vienna and it was warm. The big thing in Vienna are the coffee shops. I am not a big coffee drinker so this really did not appeal to me however I did learn alot about Vienna.
