I have mixed feelings about this cruise. I've only been on two cruises prior to this and both were with Carnival to the Bahamas.
FIRST IMPRESSION - The port in Seattle was dirty. The check-in process was long, which is usually par for the course. When I finally got checked in and on board the ship I couldn't even go to my room because it wasn't ready. When my room was finally ready they said my luggage would be in my room. It wasn't. Finally got my luggage later that evening. My cabin was great! I was by myself and the room was so big.
FOOD - The food in the buffet (Garden Café 11th floor) was very good. There was always a good variety to chose from. Loved the crepe station! The food in the 7 Seas and the 4 Seasons was about the same level quality as the Garden Café but the desserts were much better.
My cabin was great! I was by myself and the room was so big. The location was so convenient by being close to the elevators.
This was the best port of the cruise as far as seeing the glaciers.
The capitol city is very small but so quaint.
Not much going on in the town.
VBC is absolutely beautiful! I can see why they call it "the Garden City". Love the flowers at the Empress Hotel.
