This is our 5th cruise with AmaWaterways. This time, on the “doublewide” AmaMagna. This February 18 2024 sailing was one of the first Feb sailings offered by Ama. The ship is amazing, same capacity (198) as a narrower River Cruise ship, but twice as wide. Huge staterooms, 4 eating venues, a library, cinema and wellness studio. The crew, even though only their 2nd cruise together, was totally ...

I was sick most of the time and had little to no access to meds. I came home with Covid. Testing and meds were not available on ship. The ship was nice, clean and rooms well appointed, if not very small. The weather was cold, so the balcony wasn't really used. The food was good and the cruise director was excellent.
The staff was very friendly (except for front desk), remembered names and ...
Absolutely loved this cruise! I’m a younger cruiser (39) and I had a blast. A friend and I had been wanting to tour Europe and this seemed like a good fit. I think it hit all of our expectations and even surpassed on a few. The service was outstanding. All of the staff helped to make for an unforgettable vacation. The food was superb. I loved the regional specialities. The cabin is small but very ...
The Viking Osiris is a great Nile River ship, intimate, new, and designed for this service. Take advantage of all optional trips, especially the hot air balloon at dawn over the Valley of the Kings and the trip to Abu Simbel. The days are long, with little down time, but you cover a lot of history. The boat is relatively informal, no need to dress for dinner, etc., as you may be just coming ...
From the moment we arrived at the airport in Amsterdam the service provided by the Viking “Tialfi” staff was more than we could have hoped for. The program director did a marvelous job of coordinating our excursions so that we made the most of our time in the historic and charming ports of call along the Rhine. The tour guides were very knowledgable and provided a good mix of history and culture ...
We had curtailed travel for the past 3-4 years because of work, COVID, and parental caregiver responsibilities. During this time we achieved an age milestone, retired, and celebrated 40+ years of marriage. We wanted a special way to celebrate all of this so we chose Viking. This was our first Viking cruise and our first trip to this part of Europe. We liked the idea of the river cruise so that we ...
I absolutely loved my time on the Viking Alruna. This is the second Viking cruise I’ve been on and loved it just as much as the first one (first time with friends instead of family).
The staff was amazing, the accommodations and food were great, the stops were fantastic. Special shoutout the BILLY, Alexandra, Van Allen, Laurentiu, Shemy, and Uri. All contributed to our time being enjoyable and ...
We decided to take the Aria Amazon after doing the Aqua Mekong cruise on the a Mekong River in Asia. It was an excellent choice and did not disappoint! Aqua Expeditions is consistently nothing short of superb. The service is absolutely top notch — from ensuring that all pax’s personal preferences are met (whether food or other), modern design, attention to detail in providing as many comforts ...
We chose to go on a river cruise, thinking it would be as advertised—relaxing, immersive, and beautiful scenery along a river. We got a crowded bus tour with a view of the boat next to us 5 nights out of 8. Save your money. The Douro River tour is falsely advertised. It’s up early every day (before 7 am), get on a bus by 8:15 am, go to a location (no time for exploring), get a crowded tour by ...
