Bit overpriced, and you can certainly Uber it from the port to the SoBe area, but with traffic being what it is, it's nice to know the ship won't leave without you. Spent the night before in Miami - loved it- but it was extremely expensive! We had dinner at American Social and it was AMAZING, but very expensive- then hit up some of the clubs around the area including Rosa Sky, The Dirty Rabbit, Pilos Tequila Garden, and Brick. We partied a bit hard the night before. FYI- hotels in Miami right next to port were very expensive as well, we found one for $300 ...
On boarding and departure were made effortless by the Virgin Voyages staff at PortMiami. They were very professional and quick. Customs was quick as well. It only took us about 30 minutes to get on the boat and probably about 10 minutes to depart when we returned back to port 6 days later. It was overall, a very good experience. We did the Grand Tour excursion, Everglades National Park for airboat ride. Nice tour, saw 1 alligator. We have been there before many times but it's an hour away from Port. Toured Miami and walked on south beach. Went to little Havana and had lunch. We to the Bayside market place ro walk around and shop. Overall a long day but so nice. Ship is pretty close to the port. ...
Go to Miami Beach, eat and take in the scenery, in particular by the strip where the ship goes in and out of port. Fun vibe and so many great places to eat. ...
