This was our favorite port visit. The people of Guatemala were incredibly welcoming and positive. The poverty here is tremendous, yet. There were lots of smiles and clear happiness. We really enjoyed our visit to old antigua despite the long bus ride. The old city is beautiful to walk around though challenging on your ankles if you're not careful due to the old cobblestones. My only complaint here ...
Went on the coffee plantation tour--very interesting and loved getting to see some of the country as it is a fairly long bus drive. Nice vendor/port area where the vendors are not abrasive or insistent. Good selection of goods ...

Antigua was wonderful, as long as you don't mind the long bus ride there and back. We appreciated having a tour guide while visiting Antigua, but we would have liked more time on our own. Guatemala was nicer than I expected. ...

The information about the rum was very interesting and the rum was quite good. The tour included a very nice buffet lunch at an Antigua ...
We did the standard Antigua on-your-own bus transfer. A longish bus ride with an awkward transfer via smaller buses into town, but Antigua was quite walkable (though with rough cobble streets) with interesting food and shopping options. ...
I did the Antigua On Your Own tour. It was very nice to explore and shop the wonderful city of Antigua. The trip there and back was very interesting also, as it showed a great deal of the countryside. The guise provided a lot of interesting information along the way. ...
