Our Cruise was the best fall trip I could Imagine. Lovely location, great Hotel, wonderful people. Very well organized. Lots to do or not do, you choose what it is that you wan to so. Everyone made sure you had what you wanted or needed. I can't say enough good about the whole trip. Oh the food and wine!! Great, wonderful, the chief and staff gave their all to give us anything. The side trips ...
Ship was beautiful but we didn’t get to open drapes or sliding door because we were always triple docked at every port. Also would wake up at 3 a.m. because of diesel exhaust in our room.
Excursions were not exactly as published.
Cruise director was personable.
Dining room was nice. Breakfast and lunch were buffets. Dinner had nice menu with wine. Wine / champagne at breakfast and ...
I really wanted to see Vienna and go on a short river cruise. I liked visiting the small towns and enjoyed learning about saffron. I wish we stayed a little longer in Munich . That hotel was fabulous.
I have recently been put on a gluten free diet and thought I might have problems with food. No way - they were very organized. On the first day, after the safety drill, they had a meeting ...
We have had the Danube on our bucket list for quite a while. We chose the Magical Christmas Markets cruise because we knew our son--currently in graduate school--would be available between academic semesters to join us.
Although we were excited about the trip and expected to see many wonderful sights, everything about our AMA Waterways experience exceeded our expectations. Every single ...
We really wanted to do a Christmas Markets cruise and selected AMA based on advice from our travel agent.
The ship was well laid out and very comfortable. The staff from the cabin attendant, cruise manager and hotel manager, dining staff, front desk folks were all over the top helpful, caring and pleasant. The food and beverages were very good and offered a broad range in choices each day. ...
We just returned from our first River Cruise to the Christmas Markets, Vienna to Nuremberg and because of the low water conditions could not do the published program, or even their plan B. However or cruise manager, Agnes Riley, made sure that we had a vacation to remember. We still visited cities in Eastern Europe that we had never seen and saw five countries instead of the three we thought we ...
We chose the Magical Christmas markets to see Vienna, Salzburg, and Nürnberg, to enjoy some Christkindlmarkts, and to acquaint ourselves with river cruising.
Ama has work to do.
The cruise administration as we approached our travel date was disrupted by the Woolsey Fire in the San Fernando Valley, where Ama is headquartered. Ama needs better contingency plans if they are going to stay in ...
So this was the first time we've sailed on Costa so we went in with fairly low expectations (Due to other reviews, the sinking of Concordia and crash of Classica) and we only paid £210 for the week. But they exceeded expectations and were better than some other cruise lines we've been on.
We've sailed Princess, HAL, RCI, NCL, CMV, Carnival and MSC. This Costa ship and experience was ...
Let me preface this by saying we are not cruise people. We've only taken a couple of other cruises on small ships (Windstar - great!! and Antarctica excursion) but never a river cruise. We chose Avalon because they advertised a 3-Day Cruise Only option that allowed us to do only the river portion with them. We looked at the cruise as Room & Board and transportation only. We weren't interested in ...
We first looked at this particular cruise because it fit the time slot we had open. Once we started looking in more detail we were very impressed with the design of the rooms on the Panorama. And we liked the combination of several days in Vienna and Budapest along with 3 nights on the boat.
As things turned out we were extremely happy with the overall package and with the boat in particular. ...
