We took the Ron Jon Shuttle to Cocoa Beach, Fl. We were dropped in a parking lot about a mile away from the pier. So a lot of walking. You can rent chairs and umbrellas there. Also only one bar was open on pier and only two stores.

Port Canaveral has the Kennedy space center which if you can book that it's a really good time. There are also Manatee excursions and other excursions as well. The only one which was lacking was the space Coast highlights and Cocoa Beach tour. you don't really do or see much and it can be drawn out without much activity to keep your interest. Port Canaveral embarkation waiting room had a lot of people with very inadequate air conditioning. But otherwise was good embarkation experience. And disembarkation could not have been smoother. I still prefer Tampa or Ft Lauderdale for the free terminal parking for disabled veterans!! ...
