Leaving from Manhattan, seeing the skyline and the Statue of Liberty is magical! The embarkation is long, but the parking (which I bought beforehand) is really easy and close to the ship. I could throw a tennis ball on my car from my balcony. It is also really cool to visit NY the morning before embarkation (we could park at 8h00 AM and boarded at 2h00 PM). ...
A lot to see but consider increased traffic and people during holiday times of year. Sail away was awesome. Including seeing statue of liberty. Very expensive port to eat and do things. ...
It is always AWESOME to have a luxury hotel room in the center of Manhattan as part of your cruise and the fact that we had an overnight here made it all the sweeter. Plus the sail in and out were excellent. Superb weather. ...
Stayed in Brooklyn before the cruise, which left from Brooklyn. Took the subway to the WTC where we went to the top. Also visited the twin towers memorial, St. Paul's Chapel and the Oculus. ...
We stayed one night pre-cruise in the Times Square area. We visited the 9/11 Memorial and went to a Broadway Play.
Manhattan is an amazing port of call. ...

We came in early to spend some extra time on the West Side. We love NYC and spent a couple of days walking around in the area visiting Chelsea Market (we used the subway to and from there) and having lunch at an Italian restaurant there. So many things to do in this port, you are spoiled for choice. ...
Understand that Princess generally does not depart from Manhattan. It departs from Red Bank, in Brooklyn. So this port review is for New York (Brooklyn). The terminal is in a warehouse district. There is no place to walk around. Do not expect it. This port is truly an arrival and departure point; nothing more. Parking is expensive if you drive yourself, but having car service is even more ...
Excellent tour guide! What a story teller and a Hamilton specialist. Most of the included tour was on the bus but we had 30 minutes at the 9/11 Memorial. ...
